Growing like a weed!

I can't believe how much Daisy has grown in the few weeks I have had her. She is up from 3.6 lbs to a whopping 5 lbs.She has finally grown into her XS tshirt I bought for her. See, she's huge! She is finally big enough to wear an XS!

This picture was taken a few days after I got daisy, and the shirt is just hanging off of her. She kept crawling out of it through the neck hole. That is how big it was on her.
I took this one a few days ago, see how nicely she fills out the tshirt now?
Even though I think her "dogsled champion" shirt looks adorable on her, she doesn't seem to care for it.

Shoe fetish

Daisy can't seem to get enough of these boots. She is always chewing on them, crawling inside them. I don't know what it is about them she likes so much! She looks so innocent in the last picture, "Oh I'd never chew on your boots!"

Making friends

Daisy has a new friend. There is this adorable kitty in the neighborhood that is completely fascinated with her.

Every time I take Daisy out this cat appears, as if from nowhere.
The cat watches Daisy intently and sometimes acts as if she is going to pounce on Daisy, who seems completely unaware until the cat is about 2 feet away from her.
Once Daisy spots the cat however, the cat quickly retreats out of Daisy's reach. Not so brave when the puppy is paying attention huh?

Naughty

I have been trying to teach Daisy good manners, my mother on the other hand is not concerned with such things. She started letting Daisy lick her dinner plate when she was done with it. After one evening of plate licking Daisy was hooked. The next night she was whining, whimpering and barking. I took her outside in case she needed to go to the bathroom but the whining continued when she returned inside. My mom thought she just wanted to sit on the couch with us. As soon as her feet were on the couch she pounced on my mom's plate and landed with a clatter. Immediately she started eating everything off my mom's plate. I told my mom she was not allowed to let her lick her plate anymore. Which of course didn't stop her from doing it the very next night!

Loads of Photos

It is tough to get good pictures of Daisy because she is very playful and never seems to sit still until nap time.

My Christmas tree has been up way too long, due to my DC trip the day after Christmas. Daisy made it clear she would not leave it alone for a second, it is just too tempting! I finally took it down and put everything away so my apartment would be much more pug safe.

She discovered ice cubes are a fun new toy, she can't get enough of ice!

She also has a tiny little rawhide bone she likes to munch on.

It takes a lot of playing to wear her out, but once she is asleep, she is really out!

If you'd like to see more photos of crazy Daisy here they are. I know there is a lot, but she is just so darn cute!

Daisy the pug baby

At long last I finally have the pug I have so desired. John surprised me with a pug puppy on my recent visit to DC. We settled on Daisy for her name, though with all her crazy biting maybe Gizmo would have been a better choice. She is a crazy little gremlin! Check back soon for more photos!
